Tennis Volunteering Opportunity in Frampton Cotterell

Have you ever wanted an opportunity to help your community? Well, Frampton Cotterell Parish Council is here to offer you just that – whilst also giving you the chance to make new friends, get exercise, and help spread the joy of tennis!

We are thrilled to tell you about Barclay’s Free Park Tennis programme. This programme aims to help bring tennis to everyone, even those who have never considered playing tennis before! These free “Introduction to Tennis” sessions give people of all ages the opportunity to get out, get active, get connected with new people, and learn to play tennis in a friendly and welcoming environment. And all for free!

The parish council would love to establish these “Introduction To Tennis” group sessions on our newly refurbished courts on Saturday and Sunday mornings. We want tennis to be accessible to everyone!

But to make this vision a reality, we need your help. We are on the lookout for enthusiastic volunteers to become Frampton Cotterell Park Tennis Activators and to run these sessions.

Volunteering in sport is more than just giving back; it’s a chance to connect with your community and make a real difference to people’s lives. Help your fellow villagers meet new people, improve their mental and physical wellbeing, and (re)discover their love for sport! Over 25,000 people choose to volunteer in tennis across Britain at all levels. Could you be one of them?

Tennis Activators will be provided with the complete training, equipment and kit needed to get started – even if you don’t know the first thing about tennis, we’ll get you trained up as an amazing Activator! All volunteers will also receive additional online training, a hoodie, and ongoing online support. Plus, you’ll get to be part of a welcoming community passionate about sharing the love of tennis!

You can learn more on our Tennis Activators webpage. You can also check out the Lawn Tennis Association’s volunteering page for further information.
