The Parish Council invites applications for the position of Parish Clerk.
Hours: 37 hours per week including scheduled evening meetings and occasional weekends.
Salary: Scale LC3 NJC Salary points 39-42 subject to qualifications and experience
Contract Status: Permanent
Location: The Brockeridge Centre, Woodend Road, Frampton Cotterell
The Clerk is responsible for a minimum of 6 staff and the management of all services and facilities provided by the Council. Further information on the work of the Parish Council can be found on the Council’s website.
The successful candidate will have demonstrable management, financial and leadership experience and the ability to instigate and manage projects. Excellent communication and IT skills are essential and the person appointed must be helpful and supportive towards Parish Council staff, Councillors and the general public.
Applications from people with a thorough understanding of local government and who hold the Certificate in Local Council Administration (CiLCA) are particularly welcomed. Applicants making a commitment to obtaining this qualification within 12 months of commencing employment will also be considered. A salary increase will be granted on completion of CiLCA.
