Play Area Closure Notice From 14th May

We are pleased to inform you that the play area redevelopment will commence on Tuesday 14th May 2019 and therefore the play area will be closed in the short term. The first stage will involve positioning a perimeter fence around the play area, so the play area will be closed for the next couple of months. The existing equipment will be removed over the next couple of weeks and then the new equipment will be brought from Touchwood’s workshop at Ashton Gate in Bristol. Most of the equipment will be in place for the Village Picnic and Fun Dog Show on Saturday 15th June.  After the picnic the final stages of the play area will be positioned on site. Touchwood will be facilitating a community workshop in July so that local people can help to construct the ‘den frame’ part of the play area. In the autumn, the final community workshop will involve producing a willow tunnel. Details of these workshops are currently being finalised and hopefully will be available at the picnic.

We hope that the next few weeks won’t cause too much inconvenience to you. Thank you for your patience in advance.
