Practical Conservation Session November – Dead Hedges

Join us at Centenary Field, 10am on Saturday November 11th, for this month’s free practical conservation session. This month, we’ll teach you how to build dead-hedges!

We will be building this dead-hedge around the brand new Centenary Field Pond. This hedge will not only serve as a safe and eco-friendly way to keep dogs out of the water, but will also provide an important niche habitat for small birds, mammals, invertebrates and insects.

If you’d like to come along and learn all about dead-hedging, simply show up at Centenary Field on Saturday morning wearing appropriate clothes for the work and the weather. Dogs are welcome provided they are well-behaved, and under-16s with a guardian.

Refreshments provided.
