On Thursday May 19th, at the Brockeridge Centre, the Annual Parish Meeting was held for all Frampton Cotterell residents.
We had many speakers give presentations to the attendees, including members of the Frampton Cotterell Parish Council and representatives from local groups such as Floral Friends, Village Action, the FACE Youth Group, Paul’s Place, Frampton Cotterell Rugby Club, and the Allotment Association. We also had an open forum for discussion of local issues, as well as opening the floor to questions for Councillors and group representatives.
At this meeting, Frampton Cotterell Parish Council also unveiled our new Bug Hotel at Centenary Field. This Bug Hotel was sculpted by local artist Andy O’Neil of Wildwood Carving, and we think you’ll agree that it is truly a work of art! This Bug Hotel has been dedicated to Councillors Pat & Dave Hockey in honour of their long public service to our community, and to memorialise their award of the Freedom of the Parish. Pat & Dave were presented with their Freedom of the Parish scrolls at the Annual Parish Meeting, and shown their plaque on the Bug Hotel. Both gave moving speeches.
