Pond installation at Centenary Field, Thursday 9th and Friday 10th of November 2023

Frampton Cotterell Parish Council is happy to announce that on the 9th and 10th of November, our plans for installing an eco-friendly pond at Centenary Field will go ahead.

Please be aware that there will be a digger on site on Thursday and Friday carrying out the work. We ask that dogs are kept under control at Centenary Field whilst this work takes place, for the safety of the dogs and the pond workers.

We hope that this pond, once installed, will improve biodiversity at Centenary Field, benefitting local plant and animal life for years to come.

Poster text reads, Frampton Cotterell Parish Council’s Climate & Nature Committee will be installing a medium sized pond at Centenary Field on the 9th & 10th of November, 2023. The location for the pond is shown in the image (left) indicated on the map by the yellow star. The pond will support various types of wildlife, including bats, bugs, and birds, as well as many other plants and animals! The pond will have a dead hedge around it. This is not only excellent for insects, but will also help protect the pond from damage! Thank you for your patience with any mud created in the making of the pond.
