Work Starting on New Multi-Use Games Area

Work on our planned new and improved multi-use games area at The Park (Crossbow) is beginning this week.

Our contractors, Sutcliffe Play, are now on site at The Park and preparing to start construction and installation. This new multi-use games area has been partially funded by a National Lottery Awards For All grant of £20,000, for which we are very grateful, as well as through parish council money.

The planning of these ball court improvements has been overseen by our Courts Working Group made up of all stakeholders, and was influentially informed by feedback from local people, including through responses to our 2024 Youth Survey and our 2023 Courts Survey.

Sutcliffe Play will be responsible for health and safety matters relating to the construction of this new ball court. Please be aware that during the installation period, parking spaces at The Park will be reduced due to the necessity of a compound area for the contactors. We apologise for any inconvenience this may cause, and we thank you all for your patience and understanding.

We hope that you are as excited as we are for these improvements!
