Pathway at The Park – Update

On September 29th 2025, construction work will commence to install accessible pathways at The Park (Crossbow).

These new paths will improve the experience of all park users and help to make our facilities more accessible and inclusive for everyone.

The work will begin at the Court Road entrance, which will require the closure of this entranceway for approximately one week – please plan your journeys accordingly! It is anticipated that it will take between 8 to 10 weeks to complete installation of the new paths, depending on the weather.

Construction will only be carried out on weekdays no later than 6PM to minimise disruption. A compound area for the contractors will be on site at The Park for the duration of the pathway installation.

Once completed, these new accessible pathways will significantly benefit all users of The Park. We apologise for any inconvenience caused during the construction of these new paths, and we thank you for your patience.

We will provide ongoing updates on the progress of this project throughout the duration of the construction work, via our website and social media pages.

A simplified map of The Park (Crossbow) showing the routes of the new pathways. The first path is marked from the entrance near the play area across to the car park. The second pathway connects the entrances on both lower corners of the park, Court Road and Park Row respectively, via the new multi-use games area and tennis courts. The map is labelled "Planned Pathways at The Park, School Road: Frampton Cotterell Parish Council's planned pathway routes at The Park, School Road. These pathways will link facilities at The Park and connect them to all main entranceways. These pathways will improve accessibility and safety at The Park. " The map scale is 1:2500.
