Temporary Closure of Park Lane, Winterbourne – 29th September 2025

South Gloucestershire Council has released a notice of intent regarding the planned temporary closure of Park Lane, Winterbourne.

 Notice: Temporary Prohibition of Use by Vehicles.
Location: Park Lane, Winterbourne.
Date: from 29th September 2025, for an anticipated period of 1 night.

The map shows a short area of closure on the southern end of Park Lane. A diversion route is marked out in a loop from one end of the closure zone around to the other end, following a route from Park Lane through Woodend Road, Beesmoor Road, and the A432 Badminton Road and rejoining Park Lane at the other end of the closed section of road. The road closure length is noted as being approximately 195m long and 4.8m wide. The contract number is 213-S017592.

(Park Lane, Winterbourne) (Temporary Prohibition of Use by Vehicles) Order 2025.

Notice is hereby given that South Gloucestershire District Council in pursuance of the provisions of section 14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 as amended intends to make an order the effect of which will be to close, temporarily, to vehicles that length of Park Lane which extends from a point 230 metres north west of its junction with Badminton Road in a northerly direction for a distance of 195 metres.

This order is required for the following reason: in connection with bridge repair works. The order will be operative from 29 September 2025 for a maximum period of eighteen months. The closure however may not be implemented for the whole of the period but only when traffic signs are in position and only for so long as is necessitated by the works which are anticipated to be of a 1 night duration, between the hours of 10pm and 6am.

Alternative route: Park Lane, Woodend Road, Beesmoor Road, A432 Badminton Road and vice versa.
