South Gloucestershire Council have issued the following Notice of Intent regarding the temporary closure of Footes Lane, Frampton Cotterell, commencing from the 25th of April 2023.
The notice states that the area of Footes Lane from its junction with Woodend Road to its junction with West Ridge will be temporarily closed to all traffic, including vehicles, pedestrians, cyclists, and horses, from the 25th of April 2023. Although the order will be operative for eighteen months, it is expected that the closures will not take longer than 3 days.
The reason for the closure is to maintain public safety during electricity poles replacement on or adjacent to the highway.
The alternative route suggested within the Notice from South Gloucestershire Council is Beesmoor Road, Woodend Road, and vice versa.
