From the 4th of May, 2023, due to the Elections Act 2022, voters in England will be required to show a Photo ID at polling stations to be able to vote in certain elections – including local elections.
If you don’t have any of the approved forms of photo ID, you can now apply for the new free Voter Authority Certificate.
