Hedgehog Watch continues throughout August!
Have you seen a hedgehog?
The Hedgehog Heroes Here group need your help to collect important data to support this threatened species. We want to understand where our remaining local hedgehog populations are so that we can target efforts to create hedgehog highways, and encourage people living in these areas to take action.
Report your hedgehog sightings on our Hedgehog Watch Form or email details of your sighting to our Wildlife Officer on wildlife@framptoncotterell-pc.gov.uk.
Community Nature Reserve
The Community Nature Reserve is a joint project by Frampton Cotterell Nature and Frampton Cotterell Parish Council. From private gardens to public green spaces, we want to create a network of wildlife-friendly spaces across our local area.
By signing up, you’ll get the opportunity to receive free seeds, trees and wildflowers, as well as advice and support on what you can do to help local nature thrive – all for free! Learn more on our Community Nature Reserve page.
Nature Champions Needed!
Do you have an idea for a nature project? Is there a local green space you’d like to improve, or a species or habitat you want to support? Or perhaps you have an idea that can help other people connect with nature? Put your ideas into action by becoming a Nature Champion!
Nature Champions are people who drive positive change to help nature in their communities. You don’t need to be an expert or have the perfect plan – you just need to care about local nature and want to inspire your community to take action.
If you’re ready to turn your ideas into action, or need support to get your project moving then we can help! Frampton Cotterell Parish Council can provide advice, training, and resources to help local people help local nature. By supporting people to lead positive action in their communities we want to build a powerful network of community leaders who can bring wildlife back to our local green spaces, build stronger, greener communities and grow resilience to climate and ecological breakdown.
Whether you want to create a community garden, lead bug hunts, make birdboxes or transform unloved spaces we’d love to hear from you!
If you want to help nature and make a positive difference by becoming a Nature Champion, or if you’d just like to learn more, please email our Wildlife Officer, David, on wildlife@framptoncotterell-pc.gov.uk.
