On Saturday July 8th, 10am, at Centenary Field, we will be conducting our annual Meadow Survey.
During this survey we will be recording the species of wild grasses and flowers growing at Centenary Field. Our annual meadow survey allows us to keep track of and monitor the biodiversity of this site. Last year’s survey was a great success – and great fun! Whope to build upon these findings year on year as part of our wider biodiversity plan.
We would love for you to come along and get involved! No experience is needed – we’ll teach you everything you need to know on the day. Everyone is welcome to come along, including under 16s (with a guardian) and well-behaved dogs. Please wear suitable, comfortable clothing for the weather.
We will be using the iNaturalist app to help with identifying plants. If you have a smartphone, we recommend installing the app. If not, don’t worry, we can share!
If you’d like more information, please get in touch with us on nature@framptoncotterell-pc.gov.uk, or give us a call on 01454 864442.
