This February Half Term, Frampton Cotterell Parish Council hosted our first (hopefully of many!) community Window Art Trail event.
With thirteen fantastic displays put up across the village, local residents had a brilliant art trail to follow during the bright (if chilly) half term. Hundreds of people viewed our digital trail map, and more still picked up a free paper trail map from the Brockeridge Centre. Thank you to everyone who got involved!
Every display in this art trail captured a different facet of this year’s theme, “Nature In Winter”. From snowy scenes to starry skies, soaring birds to sneaking foxes, our entrants all created beautiful displays for their friends and fellow villagers to enjoy. Please join us in celebrating and thanking all of these clever display creators!
The Winners
Picking only two overall winners was a very difficult decision – which is why we left it up to you! So, Frampton Cotterell, here are the 1st and 2nd place winners, as chosen by you, for the 2025 Frampton Cotterell Window Art Trail…
1st Place Prize
1st Place is awarded to the display titled “Starlings“, at 137 Park Lane.
This intricate and emotive display depicted a murmuration of starlings against a deep-red winter sunset.
Congratulations to Alison for winning first place – we hope you enjoy your certificate and prize!
2nd Place Prize
Our 2nd place prize is awarded to the display titled “Woodland Deer”, at 18 Beaufort Road.
This dramatic and evocative display showed a deer bounding through a snowy landscape, with ornate birds birds and plants as capitals in the two smaller window panels above.
Congratulations to Lianne and Debbie for winning our 2nd place prize and certificate!
