The Great Big Green Week Fete – A Lookback!

Last Saturday (October 2nd) Frampton Cotterell Parish Council hosted a stall at The Great Big Green Week Fete at Frome Medical Centre! Councillors David Goodwin, Julian Selman, and Linda Williams ran the stall, alongside our Nature Officer, Daisy.

Our stall had loads of info on our Wildflower Planting event (taking place on October 8th), our Community Crops Swap, our Climate & Nature Action Plan, our plans for putting a pond in at Centenary Field, Refill at Frampton Cotterell, our PPE Recycling Station, and more! We also ran a craft table making eco-friendly bird feeders – which turned out to be as popular with the adults as with the kids!

All in all, this was a really fantastic event, and we would like to thank Robin at Frome Valley Medical Centre for arranging it. We had the opportunity to meet with many of our wonderful parishioners who wanted to learn more about saving nature, and got to link up many other local climate and nature groups, including Avon Wildlife Trust , Frampton Cotterell Nature, Organic Blooms , Frome Valley Medical Centre, South Gloucestershire Council, Warm and Well Cornwall, St. Michael’s Catholic Church Young Adult Group , Winterbourne and Frome Valley Environmental Group, and Frome Valley Growing Project.
