Frampton Cotterell Parish Council was happy to announce the winners of this year’s “Book Character” themed Scarecrow Trail during the Floral Friends of Frampton’s Autumn Fayre on Saturday the 28th of October, 2023.
This year’s week-long scarecrow trail was a huge success, with thirteen creative scarecrows being put up all across the village. Local people had a great time exploring the village and seeking out the wonderful scarecrows – the perfect half-term mini-adventure for kids (and big kids) of all ages.
And the winners are…!
At the beginning of the Trail Week, we opened the polls for you all to vote for your favourite scarecrow! After closing the vote on Friday the 27th, we tallied up the votes (over 100 in total!) to find this year’s first and second place winners.
Drum roll, please…
1st Place Prize to the 1st Frampton Cotterell Beavers, for their wonderfully creative scarecrow, “Room on the Broom“. Brilliant work, Beavers!
2nd place prize to Imogen and Charlie Ross, for their charming scarecrow, “Mary Poppins“! Well done!

We would like to thank everyone who created a scarecrow for this year’s Trail. Everyone put together truly excellent scarecrows, and you should all be very proud of your wonderful work! Thank you all for contributing to a really fun event for the whole village.
