On Sunday the 18th of May, we were pleased to host our very first free group tennis session as part of the LTA Big Tennis Weekend.
We had 19 out of 20 places booked, and 12 people turned up on the day to take part. The weather was bright and everyone in attendance had lots of fun!
We would like to say a special thank you to our amazing Activator Volunteers for running this session – it wouldn’t be possible without you, thank you so much.
Free Park Tennis this Summer
As our first free group tennis session proved so popular, we have decided to run even more Free Park Tennis sessions over the summer!
Our Free Park Tennis sessions will run every Sunday throughout June and July, from 10am to 11am. If these sessions are especially popular, we will consider continuing the sessions into August.

Get Involved
Interested in getting more involved? You could be a part of helping more people play and enjoy tennis for free!
Frampton Cotterell Parish Council is looking for more volunteers to help run our free group tennis sessions.
Volunteering in sport is more than just giving back; it’s a chance to connect with your community and make a real difference to people’s lives. Help your fellow villagers meet new people, improve their mental and physical wellbeing, and (re)discover their love for sport! Free Park Tennis Activators work together as a team to organise and run sessions for their community. Tennis Activators will be provided with the training, equipment and kit needed to get started. Volunteers will also receive free online training, a hoodie, and ongoing online support.
