We are excited to announce the winners of the 2019 Scarecrow Trail!
October 2019 was the 5th year of the Frampton Cotterell Scarecrow Trail. This year, the chosen theme was characters from the stories by Dick King-Smith. This echoed the decision of the parish council to commemorate the famous author who lived and farmed in the village for many years. Dick King-Smith immortalised many of the animals from his farm and the surrounding countryside in his work.
The standard of the entries this year was very high, but the following were voted the winners by the public:
1st place, The Adventurous Snail.
2nd place, Aristotle the Witch.
3rd place, The Water Horse.
Below are the pictures of the 3 winners who each won a Dick King-Smtih book signed by his daughter, Juliet King-Smith. You can read more about Juliet’s visit to the village here.
Thank you to everyone that took part in the scarecrow trail this year, all of your entries were fantastic and we can’t wait to see your designs next time! If you have any theme ideas for the 2020 trail, feel free to send them over to us at office@framptoncotterell-pc.gov.uk
