The Pitch Drainage Scheme at the Park, School Road, was given the final sign off earlier this year (2022).
We faced some difficulty in achieving the desired standard of finish at our first sign off due to the exceptional and challenging hot, dry weather conditions the country experienced this summer. To remedy the impact of these unexpected extreme weather conditions, we implemented a series of remedial actions as and when weather permitted.
Our Pitch Drainage Scheme will help us to to create and maintain appropriate quality sports pitches, improve pitch availability, and limit damage to the pitches by preventing water-logging.
