Extension to the Temporary Closure of Bridleways LFC/34/40 and LFC34/30, Winterbourne – Extended to May 2025

South Gloucestershire Council has released a notice of intent regarding an extension to the temporary closure of Bridleways LFC/34/40 and LFC34/30, Winterbourne.

Notice: Temporary Prohibition of Use by Foot Passengers, Pedal Cycles and Equestrians
Location: Bridleways LFC/34/40 and LFC34/30, Winterbourne
Date: until 26 May 2025 or until such time as the works are completed.

A map of the planned temporary bridleway closures and alternate routes in Winterbourne. Notable locations on the map include Hillyfields Farm to the south of the closures, Frampton Court to the West, Tennis Courts to the North, and Nightingale's Bridge to the South-east. There are different colour lines marked on the map in red, green, and purple, but no key was provided.

Notice is hereby given that the above order, made by South Gloucestershire District Council on 15 May 2024, has been continued in force with the approval of the Secretary of State for Transport until 26 May 2025 or until such time as the works are completed, whichever is the earlier.

The effect of the order has closed, temporarily, to foot passengers, pedal cycles and equestrians the lengths of bridleway specified in the Schedule to this notice

This order was required in connection with the likelihood of danger to the public consequent upon new development installation of rising main and storage tanks and would have expired on 26 November 2024.

Schedule: LFC/34/40 – the entire length; LFC/34/30 – the entire length.

Alternative Route: LFC/32/40, LFC/33/50 and vice versa.
