South Gloucestershire Council has released information regarding waste collection over the holiday period.
SortIt South Gloucestershire: Christmas & New Year Recycling and Waste Collection Changes
Recycling and waste collections do not take place on Christmas Day, Boxing Day or New Year’s Day, so we schedule changes to collection days while we catch up.
- If your collection day should be Wednesday 25 December, your collection will take place on Friday 27 December
- If your collection day should be Thursday 26 December, your collection will take place on Saturday 28 December
- If your collection day should be Monday 30 December, your collection will take place on Tuesday 31 December
- If your collection day should be Tuesday 31 December, your collection will take place on Thursday 2 January
- If your collection day should be Wednesday 1 January, your collection will take place on Friday 3 January
- If your collection day should be Thursday 2 January, your collection will take place on Saturday 4 January
- If your collection day should be Friday 3 January, your collection will take place on Monday 6 January
- If your collection day should be Monday 6 January, your collection will take place on Tuesday 7 January
- If your collection day should be Tuesday 7 January, your collection will take place on Wednesday 8 January
- If your collection day should be Wednesday 8 January, your collection will take place on Thursday 9 January
- If your collection day should be Thursday 9 January, your collection will take place on Friday 10 January
- If your collection day should be Friday 10 January, your collection will take place on Saturday 11 January
From Monday 13 January collection days will return to normal.
Sort It Recycling Centres will be closed on:
- Christmas Eve – Tuesday 24 December from 2pm
- Christmas Day – Wednesday 25 December – All day
- Boxing Day – Thursday 26 December – All day
- New Year’s Day – Wednesday 1 January – All day
