Common Century at Black Rocks

A lovely Common Century flower found in field by Black Rocks by Linda Williams.

Although not uncommon, the pink gentian has a lovely story. Linda told us that this flower was once used to control fevers and legend has it that it was used to cure Chiron the centaur, hence the name.

You can read more about this flower on the Wildlife Trust Website.
