On Saturday the 29th of April, Frampton Cotterell Parish Council and Frampton Cotterell Nature group organised and hosted the 2nd annual Frampton Cotterell Bioblitz at Centenary Field.
This event was well attended and well received, and gave people the chance to engage with local nature in all kinds of ways!
With the help of our fantastic volunteers, we were able to offer activities such as guided nature walks, nature talks, nature crafts, and of course by “Bioblitzing” local nature via the iNaturalist app! We were also able to provide braille and BSL provisions for our bat workshop as part of our wider inclusive bat project.
The results of the Frampton Cotterell Bioblitz 2023 can be viewed on the Frampton Cotterell Bioblitz page of the iNaturalist website. Here you can see the species of plants and animals which people recorded in Frampton Cotterell at this year’s Bioblitz!
Thank you to everyone who got involved in this year’s brilliant Bioblitz, from our volunteers to all the guests who attended. Take a look at our gallery of photos from the event, below!
