Frampton Cotterell Parish Council - Alterations to Mill Lane Allotments Access Gate

Alteration to Mill Lane Allotments Access Gate

Residents of Frampton Cotterell may be aware of an ongoing problem with access to Centenary Field via the Mill Lane Allotments gate.

Frampton Cotterell Parish Council has been working with South Gloucestershire Council to resolve this issue. We have agreed that the Mill Lane entrance will be widened by 9 metres in order to remedy the access issues.

Work to widen the Mill Lane gate will commence on Tuesday the 9th of May 2023, and is estimated to be completed within 3 weeks. This work will be carried out on Mondays – Fridays between the hours of 8am to 4:30pm.

Allotment holders will be able to access the allotments whilst work is carried out. Mill Lane residents will continue to have access to their properties. However, allotment holders will not be able to use the car park during the hours of this work being carried out. Outside of working hours, approximately 50% of the allotment car park will be available for use.

In order to widen the entrance, 8m of wall will be demolished, and the lighting column will be relocated.

If you have any questions or concerns regarding this work, please get in contact with the parish council by telephone at 01454 864442 , via email at clerk@framptoncotterell-pc.gov.uk or in person at The Brockeridge Centre during opening hours (Monday – Friday, 9am – 2pm).
