Winners of the 2024 Scarecrow Trail Announced at Floral Friends of Frampton’s Autumn Fayre
On Saturday, November 2nd, during the Floral Friends of Frampton’s Autumn Fayre at The Brockeridge Centre, the parish council announced the winners of the 2024 Frampton Cotterell Scarecrow Trail!
With fifteen unique displays put up around Frampton Cotterell and the surrounding areas, people following the trail had plenty to capture their imagination. In fact, this year’s trail (on the theme of “Fairy Tales”) proved even more popular than last year’s event, with a whopping 122 public votes cast to decide this year’s best scarecrow!
Every entry into this year’s trail was just fantastic. We’d like to thank everyone who took part for their part in contributing to this magical and ever-popular Autumn half-term event.
But, without further ado, here are the 2024 Scarecrow Trail winners as voted for by you…!
- First Place went to the Coalpit Health W.I. for their Red Riding Hood scarecrow, at St. Saviours Church.
- Second Place went to the Zion Community Preschool for their Little Mermaid scarecrow at Zion Church Hall.
Congratulations!
Our winners received a £10 book token and a goody-bag full of sweets courtesy of the parish council, as well as a lovely collection of spring bulbs generously donated by the Floral Friends of Frampton. Winners also received a themed certificate as a keepsake of their well-earned victory.
Pumpkin Carving Competition and Fundraising Success for the Floral Friends
Our Scarecrow Trail winners announcement took place during the Floral Friends of Frampton’s annual Autumn Fayre.
As part of this fayre, the Floral Friends hosted a brilliant pumpkin carving competition! They had lots of fantastic and creative entries which were great fun for guests to admire. The Floral Friends awarded prizes to three champion pumpkin carvers – well done to the winners!
The Autumn Fayre also successfully raised over £500 for the group, funds which the Floral Friends will use to fund the beautiful floral displays which they arrange across the village throughout the year.
Thank you to everyone who took part in this year’s scarecrow trail, to our winners, and to the Floral Friends for putting on another wonderful Autumn Fayre!
