2024 Frampton Cotterell Scarecrow Trail

2024 Frampton Cotterell Scarecrow Trail
Date: 25th October – 1st November 2024
Location: Across the village!

The 2024 Frampton Cotterell Scarecrow Trail will take place across the village from the 25th of October to the 1st of November. The Scarecrow Trail is a popular annual event in the village, where local people go all-out to create fantastic scarecrow displays!

As usual, we will be putting together a Trail Map showing the names and locations of all of this year’s scarecrows, which will be shared shortly before the start of the trail. We will also be running a Scarecrow Trail competition with 1st and 2nd place prizes.

2024 Theme

Once again we put this year’s trail theme to the public vote for the parish to decide on. It was a close vote, but in the final week of voting a clear winner raced into the lead!

As voted by you, our 2024 Frampton Cotterell Scarecrow Trail theme is…

Fairytales!

Scarecrows… and more!

For this year’s Scarecrow Trail, we have decided to expand the definition of “Scarecrow” so that more people can get involved!

As well as the traditional full-sized scarecrows, this year we invite people to also create “mini scarecrows” (to go on flower pots, windowsills, fences etc.!) or “Window Trail” style art displays (examples of window trail art: Beacon Arts Window Trail; Marple Window Wonderland; Banwell Window Wonderland).

We can’t wait to see what you create!

Entering the Scarecrow Trail

To take part in this year’s Scarecrow Trail, please submit an entry form by October 11th.

You can complete an online 2024 Frampton Cotterell Scarecrow Trail Entry Form or pick up a paper copy from The Brockeridge Centre.

Make sure you submit your entry form by the deadline of October 11th!

Scarecrow Trail Competition

We will also be running a public vote throughout the trail week, letting the parish vote for their favourite scarecrow or window art display! All scarecrows and window art displays entered into the trail will automatically be entered into the competition.

The displays with the most votes will win first or second place prizes. These prizes will will be awarded at 11am on Saturday 2nd November during the Floral Friends of Frampton’s Autumn Fayre at The Brockeridge Centre.

Good luck, everyone!
